I bring my mother shopping whenever I need new clothes. Like you, I have no sense of fashion. I know what I like, and while that works sometimes, I don't always want to march to my own beat. Oh, the life of the fashion challenged.the anonymous teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060620724283677205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22971836.post-47997224476888480882006-11-06T03:01:00.000-08:002006-11-06T03:01:00.000-08:00AT, I have no doubt that you keep it appropriate. ...AT, I have no doubt that you keep it appropriate. I am definitely not a "style" guru, so whenever I go shopping for clothes, I bring my wife and my daughter-in-law along. They are both very good at that, and I refer to them as my fashion consultants. After all, a man's got to know his limitations. And you know what? I think the kids like that I dress as well as I do. When my wife and daughter-in-law help me pick out clothes, I get compliments. When I used to do it myself, I'd hear nothing.

But due to the fact that my wife is "with it" when it comes to clothes, I know that low neck lines have never been more in style than they are now. All you have to do is take a look to see what the high school girls are wearing to figure that one out. My wife has frequently told me that most male teachers dress like old men, and she doesn't want me to join their ranks. I'm sure that you have no desire to dress like an "old lady." Sure, keep it appropriate, but you're young. Enjoy it and take advantage of that. There's nothing wrong with being fashionable and looking good.

And by the way, I'm sure I'd pay better attention on those days, too!Dennis Fermoylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16066942564308377074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22971836.post-2021432730651508312006-11-05T17:46:00.000-08:002006-11-05T17:46:00.000-08:00Amy, thanks for the support...and we have a teache...Amy, thanks for the support...and we have a teacher at my school who's 38 and still wears mini-skirts. She also likes to sit on desks when teaching...her freshmen are more stunned than mine.
And, Dennis, I'm not going to lie, I break out the lower cut shirts occasionally, but I keep it appropriate. I don't want to kill my freshmen...just shock them a bit. But during lunch when I got back, I sat next to VCVB and made sure to lean over as much as possible...I also said of Romeo and Juliet (which she considers a sacred text...almost the Bible to her), "They're just a couple hormonal teenagers who want to get laid." She didn't appreciate that.
I'm back to conservative today though. I don't know if my freshmen could handle another outfit like yesterdays. It really wasn't that low-cut, but in the freshman world, when a teacher wears anything besides a turtleneck, she's leaving herself open for pervy comments.the anonymous teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060620724283677205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22971836.post-21230622092682699562006-11-03T02:38:00.000-08:002006-11-03T02:38:00.000-08:00Give 'em hell, AT!!!
